PowerPool is a protocol that provides a convenient solution for pooling governance tokens. With it, token holders can lend, pool, and borrow governance tokens in an Ethereum-based protocol to earn income and accumulate governance capabilities. The mission of PowerPool is to improve the utility of governance tokens, benefit all end users, and provide a stronger and more powerful decision-making system for the DeFi ecosystem.
CVP is the native governance token of PowerPool and has the following use cases:
Voting on platform governance (changes to the parameters of the supported liquidity pool, types of collateral, liquidity mining reward distribution, etc.).
Vote to determine how the aggregated governance token will vote for each governance decision in the supported protocol.
The PowerPool protocol consists of the following components working together:
Power Index: A community-managed decentralized financial index that uses aggregate governance tokens for meta-governance and fund management strategies. Power Index Pool Token (PIPT) is a token that represents the share in the index.
Power Oracle: A distributed cross-chain price oracle that uses Uniswap V2 as the main data source of Time Weighted Average Price (TWAP). Power Oracle allows token holders to pledge CVP, request and record data from the oracle, and receive CVP rewards in return.
